Aurora Alba

I’m a British, Iranian writer and essayist based in Barcelona.

After thirteen years working in law and education, I’m building a career dedicated to writing.

A lot of my work explores identity, belonging, womanhood, culture and the quiet transformations that shape our lives.

I am the creator of The Inquisitive Mind (Essays, observations and stories for curious minds), an independent journal of essays, observations and stories inspired by the questions that make us look at life differently.

I am a currently writing and pitching personal essays to UK publications, while developing Being Iranian, a collection of intimate reflections on heritage and identity, and a children’s novel for readers aged eight to ten.

In my spare time, I write poems (link to Instagram and link to buy mini poem book) and I craft cooking videos (link to TikTok).
